30 Jun Electronic signature software eSignR 1.0 goes LIVE!

The first full version of eSignR 1.0 is available and will go live on 1 July 2022. With eSignR, the software for electronic signatures, we give security-conscious users the opportunity to sign qualified electronic documents risk-free in accordance with Swiss and EU law without uploading confidential documents to cloud servers.
Cloud services bring with them many advantages, such as for electronic signatures. Unfortunately, this convenience also entails risks. Many users are not aware of the need for caution when using cloud signature solutions. This is because when uploading confidential documents to the cloud, one automatically grants a third party (namely the cloud provider) access to one’s documents and thus loses data sovereignty. For certain professions, where data sovereignty and confidentiality are key criteria, this can lead to problems.
The Swiss Confederation discovered this problem early on and in 2008 commissioned Glue Software Engineering AG to develop a solution for electronic signatures that does not require cloud services. The product, Open eGov LocalSigner, was used by over 54,000 users.
The electronic signature is a small but essential part of digitalisation. As a risk-conscious IT company, the security aspect is paramount in our products. The new product eSignR builds on the same criteria that were applied to the Open eGov LocalSigner: Documents are treated confidentially and never leave their own system environment during the electronic signature process! In contrast to cloud-based competitor products, our customers can rely on a risk-free local alternative for their electronic signature.
eSignR is available to private individuals as well as companies in a flat rate subscription for qualified electronic signatures (QES signatures) in the Swiss and European legal area. So that you can see eSignR for yourself, we offer you the first month free of charge for testing.
