Thanks to the connection to eSignR, we were able to offer our customers the electronic signature within a few hours. We particularly appreciate the fact that the entire signature process remains completely on-premises with eSignR. – CEO Lukas Berger
In Switzerland, notaries can use electronic signatures, and in many cantons authorisation certificates can already be attached electronically. With eSignR, you can process documents quickly, securely and online. Thanks to UPReg integration, you can create and manage e-signatures and authorisation confirmations conveniently and in compliance with the law.
To be able to create electronic documents in Switzerland in accordance with the EPDO, you must be a Swiss notary and registered in the UPReg. As long as you are registered there, you have the option of signing and notarising in ‘notary mode’ in the eSignR. All in accordance with the Ordinance on the Creation of Electronic Public Documents and Electronic Notarisations (EÖBV).

The confidentiality and integrity of the documents are guaranteed by a careful process that begins with identification at an official registration centre at our partner Swisscom Trust Services.
During the signing process, the confidential document is loaded into the eSignR software and a hash value is generated that contains no document content and is sent exclusively to the certificate service provider. There, the user’s declaration of intent is queried using two-factor authentication. After confirmation, a digital signature with a time stamp is created and securely embedded in the PDF document. This means that the document remains on the computer throughout the entire process.
The electronic signature offers Swiss notaries numerous advantages: it is legally recognised, saves time and costs and enables fast and secure document processing. Notaries can efficiently integrate documents into their existing systems and use the signatures worldwide in a legally secure manner. Customers benefit from a user-friendly, flexible process that enables simple and secure digital signatures. Electronic signatures also reduce paper consumption, improve archiving and ensure transparency and traceability.
